Faith and values

Seven values from Surah Luqmān that shape how we play, explore and treat each other.

Our foundation

Growing together, guided by faith.

يَا بُنَيَّ لَا تُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ “O my son, do not associate anything with Allah.” Luqmān 31:13

Rifāq draws its Islamic foundation from Surah Luqmān 31:13–19 — teachings about faith, family, prayer, patience and good character.

We want these principles to shape how we play, explore, treat one another and give back.

The seven values, verse by verse
  1. 31:13Worship Allah alonetawḥīd
  2. 31:14–15Be good to your parentsbirr al-wālidayn
  3. 31:16Allah sees even the smallest thing you dotaqwā
  4. 31:17Establish the prayerṣalāh
  5. 31:17Encourage good and discourage wrongamr bil-maʿrūf wa nahy ʿan al-munkar
  6. 31:17Be patient through difficultyṣabr
  7. 31:18–19Be humble in how you treat othersakhlāq
يَدْعُونَ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ Āl ʿImrān 3:104

Every group does something for someone outside itself.

وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَىٰ Al-Māʾidah 5:2

Nothing is done alone.

These two sit behind everything Rifāq hopes to do. They are not a separate programme, and not a timetable.

Faith should shape the experience, not sit beside it.

Every verse and reference on this page will be checked by a qualified imam before Rifāq opens.
